Record Paradise was an independant record store in St Kilda –  owned and operated by music lovers, Paul Allen and Renae Maxwell originally established in 1955. After moving over 20000 records and a lot of hard work and help from friends and supporters they are happy to be relocating Record Paradise to a fantastic warehouse in Brunswick just in time for Record Store Day 2013

Record Paradise opens its doors for the first time on Record Store Day, at its new location – 15 Union St, Brunswick on Saturday 20th April 2013 from 12-6.

Record Paradise has an archive of over 33000 eclectic recycled records with quality selections of rare and collectible VINYL LPs, 7” & 12” singles, CDs, tapes and music related books, many offered for the first time for Record Store Day. All this complemented by a vast range of new releases and classic reissues with a focus on local independently produced and distributed VINYL LPs and 7” singles.

To celebrate Record Store Day at Record Paradise, Renae and Paul have invited their amazing network of friends and fellow music lovers to Brunswick to be a part of this inaugural gathering. There will be live acoustic performances, signings and merch from Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier, Fraser A Gorman, The Morning After Girls and Courtney Barnett, guest Djs, lucky 7” dip the fully licenced Paradise Bar, as well as a huge selection of never seen recycled vinyl, limited issue local vinyl and exclusive Record Store Day releases come into Record Paradise for a dig, chat, drink and show your love for the music that brings us all together. Let’s celebrate the spaces where real people connect with real music at your friendly independent record store!
